Want to know how a "supprise" baby girl challenged us to start a home base business???

If you would have told me a year ago that I would be building a website about decorating kids bedrooms, I would have told you that you are crazy!

“I don’t have time to build a website, and I don’t have a clue about building it in the first place.”

However, God has plans that he sometimes surprises us with. Let me explain....

We have two great boys: Aaron 11 and Dalton 7. They keep us very, very busy. (especially Dalton) The picture is of my two boys (boy with hat is Aaron and the little dark haired boy acting crazy, third from right, is Dalton.) I told you he keeps us busy!! The other chilidren are some cousins.

Our lives were on auto pilot. I have a great job at a fortune 500 company, Darlais is a medical biller for the hospital. We just built our dream home our boys are self low maintenance and....

BAM

We find out we are expecting a third child. (Daralis cried) LOL

“What are we going to do?” she said.

“It’s a little late for that line of thinking now!”

So now our world (an house) is turned upside down. We had tried for years to have another child and hoped for a little girl, it just did not happen. (Until you least expect it!)

This was the start of our SBI Adventure!!

I started looking for ways for us to make additional income and hopefully allow Daralis to become a stay at home mom.

Lot's of people are work at home mom's! (and dad's) : ) Surely there is something legitimate out there that we could do. I tried a couple of the get rich quick schemes, and all I did was loose time and money. (both I don’t have a whole lot of)

Until…..

I found SBI, and I took the video tour. (If you have a littlr time this is worth the watch) After watching the videos I started to check everything out that I could. What am I smart enough about that I could build a website that someone would actually want to read it??

I looked at the thing that I know and love and discovered that I am rather boring and a nerd! LOL (no comments from my wife)

However, I am of the creative persuasion. “artsy fartsy” if you will. ; )

We finished our new house a few weeks before Christmas and decided to have a “Christmas Open House”.

I stayed up late night after nigh decorating our house . (We had just moved in, nothing on the walls) I liked to have decorated myself into a COMA.)

Then I had to turn around and decorate for Christmas. (Eleven Christmas trees later....)

Did I mention that I don’t do anything on a small scale.

Open house came and I found my calling!!!! Person after person went through our house and person after person commented on our decorating, and especially my boys bedrooms.

I can not tell you how many people said, “you should do this for a living”.

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. Why not??

…..And Decorating-cool-kids-rooms.com was born. It was almost something spiritual among the many trees, looking at my nativity in the foyer, listening to the song “A Baby Changes Everything” ….

….hope was born for a family to have a better life.

I guess when God decides to surprise a family, he knows just how to do it! On July 18, 2009 Kendra Shea-ann Williams made her triumphal entry, and let me tell you “A Baby Changes Everything“!

A few months later I am starting to see my SBI website take off. It is getting more fun all the time. SBI changes things too. SO....
