The Great Sports Theme Bedroom!

Take me out to the Ball Park....

Here are some Great Sports ideas and Tips!!

• Don't over look what you already have around the house! Baseballs, baseball gloves, basketballs, Bats, ect.. All these can be used as great sports theme decor (for free).

• Dose your son play ball, and have a jersey? Use it! What a cool way to decorate. Buy a decorative hook or peg, and a nice wood hanger and display his jeresy on the wall. (Talk about a slam dunk) An inexpensive wall decoration, that says I am proud of you!

• Posters are another way to add some cool, for not a lot of money. They can be favorite team, player, or motivational. (you can do it, Play Hard, ect..)

• There are some great sports bedding choices out there. The bed is one of the main focus areas in the room, pick a great bedding.
  

• With so much homework, and kids computers, a desk is almost a must. (If room permits) A design short cut is to buy a simple desk and add some sports themed drawer pulls. It really spices it up. Add a cool lamp and it can be a nice focus spot in the room.

• If they are into sports they have lots of stuff! Here is a little trick. Make an equipment Trunk. It's easy. Get a plain trunk in a color that matches the team or bedding, add a few team stickers, or stencil their school/team on it. How about stenciling "(name's) Equipment Box". Set it at the end of the bed. Now you have a place for balls, gloves, bat or what ever.

• Display their ribbons, trophies, and awards. Make the room about their accomplishments.

• Have a ball team picture (or two or three)? Frame theme. Buy a cheap wood frame, and paint it to match the team colors, or room decor. If you have two or three, create a grouping.
